Neurodiversity-Affirming Assessment

Turning Points’ expert Educational Psychologists, School Neuropsychologists, and Speech Language Pathologists will provide you with detailed information about both your strengths and barriers, make individualized recommendations based on the client’s specific learning profile, and provide a road map for the strategies and supports that will help the most going forward.

From the very first interaction you have with Turning Points staff, we’ll make certain you feel heard and understand your options. Understanding the many types of assessment that are the appropriate fit for yourself or your child can be an overwhelming and even nuanced process.

Our team is dedicated to providing neuroaffirming care that makes all clients, regardless of background and self-identity feel understood in your own specific barriers or differences they want to uncover, provide a comprehensive, detailed, and individualized recommendation plan, and ensure you are successful in setting up the next steps that are the right fit. Additional follow-up support is always available as needed.

Our evaluations provide clarity in the following areas:

  • All learning differences (spelling, reading, writing, math)
  • Attention and executive functioning challenges
  • Autism and social effectiveness
  • Social-emotional and mood-related difficulties
  • Cognitive functioning, reasoning, and problem-solving
