Parent-Child Care

PC-CARE (Parent-Child Care), a 6-session evidence-based treatment program designed to improve caregiver-child relationships and support child behavior management. PC-CARE is led by Chrystal Gonzales, M.Ed., LEP.

 

This program is open to all types of caregivers (biological, foster, step, adoptive, etc.).

A few key details about PC-CARE:

  • Designed for families with children ages 1 to 10 years
  • Focuses on improving caregiver-child relationships and behavior management strategies
  • Consists of 6 weekly dyadic sessions + 1 pre-treatment session (7 weeks total)
  • Caregivers and children attend 1-hour sessions together each week
  • Provides caregivers with live coaching during play to build and apply new skills
  • Includes a daily 5-minute at-home “Daily CARE” practice
  • Effective for children experiencing trauma, behavioral challenges, or life transitions


This program is ideal for families:

  • Motivated to strengthen the connection between the caregiver and their child
  • Able to commit to weekly in-person sessions and daily practice
  • With children who may have experienced trauma, are adjusting to change, or show disruptive behavior
