Avery joined Turning Points in 2024 as the Office Manager, overseeing office operations, providing support to prospective and current clients, and maintaining the daily functions of Turning Points staff.
Avery holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Chapman University in Political Science and Peace Studies. During college, she became interested in the PsychoEd and Disability Studies fields, exploring how education, psychology, public policy and neurodiversity intersect in daily life. She actively volunteered her time, serving as a board member for Camp Kesem and holding a VP role in her Greek organization. She also played DIII lacrosse while living in Orange County.
Throughout her undergraduate studies, Avery supported various organizations in business and administrative operations, consistently delivering excellent customer service. In 2022, she earned her Mediation and Conflict Resolution (MCR) credential. After graduating in 2023, she obtained a TEFL Certificate and moved to North Vietnam, teaching English as a second language to children and adults with diverse proficiency levels.
She returned to the Bay Area in early 2024, where she was raised. In the future, Avery aims to attend graduate school to earn higher degrees in education and leadership; in hopes of building a career in education and gaining the expertise to provide specialized services for children and adults.
In her free time, Avery enjoys being outdoors, cooking, traveling, learning about new cultures and spending time with friends and loved ones.
