Chrystal has almost 20 years of experience in the field of school psychology, and has dedicated her career to fostering the educational and psychological well-being of others across various age groups, from preschool to adulthood. Chrystal always strives to take a strengths-based and solutions-focused approach to her work. She is passionate about neuro-affirming practices, inclusion, prevention/intervention, multidisciplinary collaboration, mentoring new professionals in the field, and parent coaching. 
Chrystal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, and a Master of Education degree in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received extensive TEACCH training while at the University of North Carolina, and worked alongside the leaders in that program for 3 years, completing assessments and planning interventions (including psychoeducational and social skills development) for autistic individuals. Chrystal has received extensive training in anti-racism and culturally-responsive teaching, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), play-based assessment, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). In December 2025, Chrystal completed training with UC Davis to become a certified PC-CARE provider, helping parents to learn skills to improve the parent-child relationship and learn new behavior management strategies.

Outside of her professional life, Chrystal enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, watching comedies, arranging flowers, and playing pickleball. Above all, Chrystal loves spending time with her family and her two adorable miniature schnauzers (whom she trained to “talk” using communication buttons!).
