Board Certified School Neuropsychologist
Kim is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Board Certified School Neuropsychologist with nearly 30 years’ experience working in both schools and private practice with individuals from preschool through adulthood. She is the Founder/Director of Turning Points Educational Solutions, Inc., a multi-disciplinary private practice providing services for clients ages three through adulthood in Willow Glen/San Jose, Redwood City, and virtually. Kim opened the first location in Willow Glen/San Jose in 2013 and the second Redwood City location during the summer of 2025.
Kim now employs a multi-disciplinary, neurodivergent-affirming team consisting of psychologists, educational therapists/specialists, speech and language pathologists (SLPs), advocates, coaches, and administrative professionals that support a wide variety of individuals with both assessment/identification and ongoing supports. Kim’s team specializes in assessment (psycho-educational, school neuropsychological, gifted/IQ testing, IEEs, SLP, and assistive technology evals), educational therapy or specialized instruction for learning differences, SLP services, Autism/ADHD/Executive Functioning coaching, HSPT Prep, Special Education advocacy, PC-CARE, college advising, career counseling, and support groups for parents of neurodivergent individuals.
The Turning Points team is passionate about providing neurodivergent affirming services and supports so that individuals are able to develop a positive sense of self and have both the confidence and tools needed to accomplish their dreams. They use their knowledge of neuropsychology, assessment, and research-based supports and interventions to help individuals better understand themselves and thrive in their school, work/vocational, and personal lives.
Kim has both educational psychology and school neuropsychology specialties. While working in the schools, she developed social cognitive classrooms at both the middle and high school levels; helped write a district crisis manual; taught and consulted in TEACCH-based preschool classes for autistic students; taught a middle school literacy class; served as a summer school principal for Special Education programs. Additionally, she has served as President-Elect, President, Past-President, & Secretary/Treasurer of the Santa Clara County Association of School Psychologists (SCCASP). She earned the 2006 SCCASP Achievement Award and continues to serve on the board today. She continues to expand the Turning Points services and locations to support more individuals while also focusing on systemic change through public speaking opportunities, program development, serving as a Resource Advisor for REEL 2E nonprofit, and activism with a focus on educational reform and social justice.
She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University as an undergraduate and pursued graduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, earning both Master’s and Educational Specialist degrees in School Psychology. More recently, she completed a post-graduate certification program and is certified by the American Board of School Neuropsychology to conduct school neuropsychological evaluations.

When not working with clients, Kim enjoys being a lifelong learner and activist. She attends regular training in research-based assessment and intervention practices in order to integrate more advanced neuropsychological principles into her assessments and recommended interventions. She also volunteers regularly to help advance educational reform, social justice causes, equality for all, climate protections, and voter rights.
