Tiffany Johnson Harwick, M.Ed.

Educational Specialist | Special Education Advocate

Tiffany Johnson Harwick is an education leader and accommodations specialist with over a decade of experience supporting students, adults, families, and educators across diverse learning environments. Her work is grounded in the belief that relationships are the foundation of learning and that when educators are equipped with the right tools, every individual, students and adults, can access success.

Tiffany’s professional journey spans classroom teaching, special education, educational administration, coaching, and therapeutic support, including work in residential treatment facilities where she provided direct support to youth navigating complex emotional and behavioral needs and individuals with multiple disabilities. These experiences shaped her deep understanding that behavior is communication and that all students can and have a right to an appropriate education. Additionally, it reinforced her commitment to proactive, strengths-based, relationship-centered practices. She now partners with schools to coach educators in implementing Tier 1 mental health and social-emotional strategies that support all learners while reducing the need for reactive interventions, as well as partnering with professionals who identify as neurodivergent to access resources and strategies to achieve success.

Internationally, Tiffany lived and worked in Beijing, China, where she developed and implemented inclusive programming within bilingual and international school settings while learning to speak conversational Mandarin. During this time, she honed her expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), strengthening her ability to design environments and instruction that are accessible, flexible, and responsive to the variability of all individuals in educational and vocational settings. Her work focused on bridging cultural perspectives, building systems of support for diverse learners, and creating programs that centered belonging and access for all individuals.

In addition to her school-based leadership, Tiffany serves as a consultant, collaborating closely with families and educators to navigate special education systems, develop individualized support plans, and strengthen home-school partnerships. Known for her ability to build trust and rapport, Tiffany supports families, students, and adults in understanding their specific needs while empowering educators and employers to implement sustainable, neurodivergent-centered practices. Tiffany is also an active advocate in the medical sector, volunteering with Kaiser Permanente as a patient advocate and advisor and contributing to national panels focused on improving access, equity, and systems of care. Her work amplifies the voices of neurodivergent individuals as well as those from all races, cultures, identities, abilities, and orientations to ensure that lived experiences inform institutional practices.

Prior to her work in education, Tiffany spent over a decade in leadership roles with Contemporary Services Corporation in Philadelphia, where she developed strong skills in observation, communication, crisis response, and team coordination that continue to inform her work with students and adults as well as educational/vocational settings and systems today.

Tiffany holds a Special Education teaching credential and is trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), and Mental Health First Aid. She is also certified in Student-Centered Teaching and IMSE Orton-Gillingham methodologies to address dyslexia and dysgraphia in a systematic, explicit, multi-sensory, and direct manner. Additionally, she uses Bridges Math and Singapore Math to support dysgraphia and a variety of executive functioning strategies to support students as well as adults in the workplace.  Across all of her work, Tiffany remains committed to helping educators and families better understand students, vocational settings better understand their employees and respond with empathy, and create environments where every individual feels seen, supported, and capable of thriving.

Outside of her professional work, Tiffany enjoys musical theater, karaoke, and painting, and is an avid learner who often turns to podcasts to continue growing and exploring new ideas.
